The reverse process of converting used cotton fabric int to cotton fibre and then producing alternative cotton products out of this fabric is called recycle cotton product. These conversions limit landfills, CO2 and Fossil fuel emission, in addition save tons of artificial and natural resources. i.e., water, power, artificial colour, and fertile land
How it’s made?
Recycle cotton was collected from several resources like used cotton from household and clothing products and industrial cotton waste. This cotton waste is separated by type and colour cut into smaller pieces. further machine shreds turn the fabric into fibre and re-spun back into yarn to produce new cotton products.
The quality of recycled cotton is not equivalent to new fibre however, these recycle cotton fabrics can be used for many alternative purposes like Recycling cotton grocery bags, insulation, stuffing, mop heads etc.
